Nottingham International Jazz Piano 2010
This weekend has the semis and finals over 1-3 October 2010 of this exciting international solo jazz piano competition. NYJO are proud to have been invited to provide music at the intervals at the Albert Hall venue.
Clement Pianos, based in Nottingham, are presenting this competition that also has sponsorship from Kawai Pianos, EM Jazz and Jazz Steps. The five judges are well-respected and prolific jazz pianists - David Newton, Zoe Rahman, Robert Mitchell, Jonathan Gee and Tim Richards.
First prize includes a Kawai piano worth £16,500 and the four finalists get recording sessions to make a CD and gigs around the UK.
